Yoga in Candle Light and Yoga Open Session by Hiba Saab
Heba Saab is a certified yoga instructor, universal healer, and yoga practitioner (yogi). She is also American Red Cross certified in Adult/Infant/Child First Aid and CPR. Hiba teaches yoga in small group, large class, and workshop settings, and conducts private yoga therapy sessions for individual clients. She has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and teaching yoga for over 5 years professionally.
In the summer of 2004 Heba Saab began instructor training with LisaMarie Livigni in Eclectic Yoga (a mix of Hatha, Bikram, and Ashtanga), which included training in yoga for expectant mothers. In the Spring of 2008, Hiba attended an instructor training retreat on Hatha Yoga and Yoga Flow (Vinyasa) in New Delhi, India conducted by Guru Meher Sandhu. Hiba has practiced with yogis around the United States and across the world from London to Costa Rica, and has adopted her own style of teaching based on the traditional postures of Hatha, Iyengar, and Asthanga Yoga with an instructional technique rooted in Bikram verbal cuing and refined contemporary instructional technique. This instructional technique was adopted from her 400 hours of formal yoga teacher training at Core Power Yoga, a Yoga Teacher’s Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS®) in Huntington Beach, California.
Yoga is an integral part of Heba Saab’s daily regimen for developing spiritual awareness and mental focus, as well as maintaining and improving her physiological health and wellbeing. Yoga has helped Hiba overcome morbid obesity, allowing her to lose over 130lbs. (59 kg). It has improved her quality of life immeasurably, allowing her to enjoy every moment fully. As a professional actress and singer, yoga has improved Hiba’s focus, breathing, and awareness, allowing her to progress in her career, and giving her a powerful tool for harnessing, releasing, and channeling energy through the medium of her creative work. Hiba’s hope is for all of her students to experience the rewards of regular yoga practice and feel the profoundly positive and healing effects of their yoga practice in all aspects of their lives. As an instructor, Hiba’s goal is to provide an important service and a significant contribution in promoting the health, awareness, and happiness of the global community at large.
Heba Saab is currently living in Beirut, Lebanon, pursuing her career in the performing arts, and teaching yoga at Shiva-Lila Yoga Center in Clemenceau. She is also continuing her vocal training in oriental singing with Ghada Ghanem at the Conservatoire Libanais, and teaching free yoga classes in Hamra as a token of community outreach and gratitude for the many blessings in her life.
